#Comic Book Update – Weekly New Releases 11.15.2017

Here are this weeks new Comic/TPB Releases provided by Comic Collector Live’s member padreglcc.  If you haven’t made your way over to Comic Collector Live – Main Page and checked out their vast comic book database and awesome shopping mall style seller store front then please do.  Been a member for a long time and have purchased vast amounts of comic books from a multitude of registered sellers.  The sites been going through quite the makeover the past year or so making it even easier to find and buy comics and of course it still contains an immense amount of comic book knowledge, second to none.

They also have a CCL Site Forum run by knowledgeable comic book crazed enthusiasts that can damn well near answer any comic book related question you throw at them.  They even have databases for art, sketches, toys, and so much more!

I realize that this week I chose 3 Transformers covers but I had my reasons  The top cover tho that caught my eye was by Frank Cho and his Harley Quinn variant cover.  The rest all had their own unique reasons to be honest, from architecture to character design, to distinct use of color palette. Bill Sienkiewicz Trinity cover was just different and well yes quite unique since his style is more of an outlier than the norm.  I’ve chosen many Sara Pitre-Durocher covers but this past weeks cover had a different feel than the others.  Her experimentation was quite successful with he ruse of bleeding lines and colors as it still felt like it was cleanly drawn.  If you feel the need to share your thoughts concerning my choices please do and I hope to see you back here next week for another edition of the top 10!

First week of October and wow what a slow week for covers.  Took me a while to find them but I managed to get 10 and by far Amy Reeder’s cover for Rocket Girl #10 is simply amazing.  Using the entire cover she was able to layer in a heart felt rendition of our main character looking over the city.  If you have been following the comic series as I have then you’d know that the writer Brandon Montclare  and artist Amy Reeder took a rather extended break from the series that got it’s initial funding from their GoFundMe site.  Thankfully they are continuing the series with story arc 2 coming to an end.  Another one was Sara Richard’s My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic #59.  I realize that I feature her a lot but I swear that her artist talent continues to improve with each cover, year after year.  Her unique style seems almost perfect, clean lines, clean colors, and no imperfections to her drawings. The last week of September, boy did that month fly by.  This week we have the beginning of the Marvel Legacy story line that includes a hefty amount of variant covers, oh joy, not really, and yes those famous DC style lenticular variant covers.  If you feel the need to grab them the first set that comes out are usually the ones everyone forgot to preorder so yes, that means rare.  I think this weeks Tim Sale variant cover for Infinite Loop But The Truth really stood out from the rest of the pack.  I love the attention to detail and it’s more artistic approach.  If you feel the need to share your thoughts concerning my choices please do and I hope to see you back here next week for another edition of the top 10!
